Do you use track tuners with Adair tracks too or only with rubber tracks?

I find little to no difference running tuners with the Adair Tracks, so I don't bother running them. I have my Tuners loaned out right now to a friend.

Hey BB if I'm "creeping", I'm in low range. There is a bit of an art to driving in snow, most of the time you don't want to spin your tracks, that just digs holes in a hurry. Having said that, sometimes momentum is required to carry you over some hills. Also, it depends on what machine I am driving, one is geared low with a 27hp, the other is geared medium with the 20 Hp engine. The different machines require a different driving style.

Went over a damn steep drop in this clip, lol

Very impressive preformance RD. Thanks for posting up those videos. I look forward to seeing how your belted tracks perform this spring.

[QUOTE=Rock Doctor;138692]I'm kinda getting away from my original topic, This started out as a thread on the Belted Adair Tracks, but I've shifted back to my Chained Adair Tracks. The Belted 14" wide tracks do not have enough floatation to combat the deep crystally Snow conditions I have right now. In this clip, I broke the trail uphill at my place, I had fully expected to have to winch up the hill, as the snow was deep and the consistency of Coarse Salt. The vid is a little long (5.5 min) The only edited out footage was of me breaking off some willows to prevent more whippings as I mess around at the top. These Tracks are the Adair 18.5 Snowtracks with no Cleats, Studs, Picks, ect. Just the tracks.

It would be nice to see your argo make the very same hill climb with the 18 inch rubber track. Just to see the difference in the two. The rubber may of given you a little more flotation, But would it of given you the traction you would need. You have run them both RD what do you think in that type of snow. I have run into that snow way back in the hills and it,s hard to go anywhere.

The curious kid in me would really like to try it with a set of the new Adair "Fat Tracks"....as deep and dry as that snow was it would probably be a pretty good challenge for any snow track...looks like fun!
