  • Max IV track recommendation

Well after running Adair tracks which I consider to be easy on the drive train I broke a center axel at the sprocket. Very odd. Especially since the front chains were removed. So now I’ll be running off of just the back tires, kind of like the old track Max used to. I’ve run it this way before and it turned easier the only reason I left the center chains on is if Incase I threw a track I could still move. After running tracks on these things for over 20 years I’m now recommending rear chains only. Lessstress on everything.

What it lacks in ground clearance it makes up for with traction.

Well, when you think about it...look at dozers, tanks, etc and other 'tracked' vehicles...there is only one set of drive sprockets, usually in the rear. Makes total sense to me, except if you want to switch back and forth to wheels only, reinstalling the chains can be somewhat of a pain!
