Woooow Doc! What a show! That stuff looks worse than the stuff Mudbug runs through. Very, very impressive! Considering all that weight I think your Argo was absolutely fantastic!

Stuck with Adair Tracks

I hope to have some video next month of my machine going through a few holes like that. It will be the first big test (for me) of a new set of tracks (24" wide main track escargo- 25" tires) on a diesel ox. It is a heavy machine, which is my only concern....but we'll see. It is a canvas top with a lightly frame. I hope to lighten it up a bit yet. The rubber track (argo style) got stuck immediately last year on the gasser ox. This escargo is a lighter track than before as the crossers spacing is widened a bit and could probably be widened some more, eliminating some more crossers and weight. I can tell already (just dragging them around) that they are super aggressive. Just haven't had a chance to test them yet (out of town). Hopefully it helps anybody that's interested become informed.

If the Escargo tracks don't work on the OX I know Tim makes some heavy duty Adair tracks just for the the mudox. I saw a few sets the last time I was there that were ready to ship out to Cananda.

As usual Rock loved the videos. That is one tough little machine and the tracks just make it keep chugging right along. Thanks for posting and "stuck" no, you were merely detained a bit.
PS: I wish you had some way to tell just how many miles you have on that machine, i bet it is way more than 2 or 3 normal machines.
LewisLife should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

You have me thinking, and this is extremely rough figuring, here goes:
Average distance from my truck to my cabins = 16kms
Average "moving time" from the truck to the cabin = 2 hrs
Approximate hours on machine = 800 hrs
This particular machine has spent it's whole life (- the first 80hrs from the PO) running out to our cabin, and just riding around that area. The machine does not sit idling much, but let's say 15% of the hrs are idling.
So with an average of 8km/hr.......
How does 5,000kms (3,000 miles) sound?
Nothing but a guess, and it sounds high to me, but who knows
Interesting, what would you say your overall average would be for speed and idle time %?

What you've seen in almost all of my AATV Vids is all parts of the same trail system into my cabins. There are about 5 trails that meet and cross each other at various points ( one is isolated across the lake " North Trail". I will post a link). There are a number of Cutlines that cross the trails, some go to Wellsites, some go into oblivion. There is one trail I've only traveled once in the summer, it's a nasty piece of work. I'm one of only a handful of guys that have even tried it, that I know of. It's a great way to go in the winter, but when I did it in the summer I kept hearing a voice in my head..... " WHAT are you doing here? Don't go in there? Are you fricken crazy? This is no place to be traveling with only one machine, don't, not that way, nooooo, Ahhhhhhhhh". I've been meaning to try it again over the past couple yrs, but nobody really wants to go with me
As for a group ride, that's something I think about alot. It would be a big deal, there are sooooo many things that could go wrong. Most people here are looking for the easiest way to the lake, not like the people onthis site that actively look for the worst trail possible, lol. There are a # of members that I would love to invite them for such a trip, but the vast distances that would have to be covered make it unlikely.
If you or other members are ever in the area though, please feel free to look me up.

Is that one blocked too?
It's because I used to put music in my vids, some if that music is copyrighted and the big babies won't allow it to be watched in some countries. Maybe I should feel honored, some of my clips can only be viewed in 2 or 3 countries in the entire world, lol. I've even had a couple clips blocked because you can hear the radio station playing in the background.
I've changed the music in a few vids to some free share music, but most of the choices suck and none of them are long enough for a clip this long.
Sorry, I didn't realize that clip was blocked

I helped my buddy size & install his new tracks, then he loaded up and headed into the bush. He put quite a bit of trust in me, he didnt even go for a test ride before heading out.
Quite a load there, 270 litres of fuel, 50 litres of water, and whatever he could pile in on top of it all, lol.
10 miles, straight down the middle of the trail, no problem.
He said he is now a "Believer", lol.

That last video reminds me of the fishing trip i go on every June. Last year was the first time I took in my newly reconditioned 2000 Conquest (with 18" Plastic tracks). If I had taken video it would have looked as though I was riding alone as all 9 quads had to use the go arounds
The trail is 8kMs one way and I can Argo it in about 1 hour without stopping, the quads take more than 4 hours (6 to 7hrs on a wet year) loaded. Needless to say, three of my buddy's now own brand new Argo's!
I will try to get some video of this years trip as we are leaving around June 13. I live in Peace River (about 5 hrs from you)so I know all too well the riding conditions you go through, but maybe some day I'll hook up with you for some free driving lessons
We have all the kit (boats and motors included) that we fit on our machines for a week+ worth of camping, just need a destination and time off (similar schedule in the patch as yours).
