    the only time it makes noise when i am turning wile siting still ,, it chatters some ,, but from what i have read these transmissions do that some time ,, is there some kind of additive i can put in the Trans// to make it not make that noise or is that just something i will have to put up with .

    Pretty much the normal stuff. If there is no weird grinding and if both sides feel the same then its probably ok. I would check and make sure atf fluid is in it. If its not, oil will ruin it.
    If its running and driving ok and the right fluid is in it then keep cruising!!!

    the only real way to know for sure is to tear it down. i thought about looking in one with a boroscope, but you really cant get in anywhere. it might work fine, but the bands, bearings or shift pins could be on their last legs. that said, i have 2 that i'm running now that i've never had apart... they were both planned for rebuilds over this winter, but 5 months and counting of unemployment took a bite out of the toy budget. i'll keep riding with fingers crossed till funds aren't so tight

    How can i check my MaxIV transmission to see if its good ,,is there a test i can give it here at home ,,what do i look for ,, is there sounds that it makes when it is bad or going out ,,
