My Name is Paul and I just purchase a MaxII 1995 16 hp I have not taken it any where but my yard which now needs to be reseeded but thats okay.

I would like to be able to plow snow with this year any thoughts on snow plows where to get one are there any used ones out there or is the dealer the only game in town?

    Any in suggestion.

    Thanks Paul

I grew up around Attex's and Max 6wheelers and have finally got a hold of an Attex. I grew up in Buffalo, NY but have since moved to Roanoke, VA. It kind of stinks now because I was only short drive away from Recreative Industries. It was my brother's Attex, quite running and he hasn't done a thing with it for years now. Don't really know what model Attex it is and was amaized to find out how many different model Attex's there were. I know it has a 2 cylinder two stroke, don't know if it is original or not and I know the front right axle is bent. I am actually looking forward to doing a mild restoration on it, was thinking about using that 16 HP Power Max engine to get it up and running. Anyways I'm sure I will need a bunch of help when my Attex project gets under way and look forward to all the helpful advice. My goals with it are to just get it running properly and get at least 30mph out of it.
      Thanks,
      Jon
Hello Jon from another western New Yorker transplanted into Virginia. I'm about 3 hours north of you. I'll be glad to talk Attex with you if you need any parts or info.

      • Hi there 6x6 World

Hi – It took me a little while but I’ve finally signed up here at 6x6 World. I have a MAX II which is so much fun. I can’t tell you all how happy I was to be “along for the ride” at Busco Beach two weeks ago – Tom and I had the best time and really want to thank the whole group. One thing I can say is when you ask for mud, mud is what you get !!!! All the pictures and video everyone’s posted are great - Can’t wait for next time!

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

                    Hello everyone,
My brother and I are new to the sport, we have an attex and a sidewinder.
We are installing a 340 liquid cooled kawaski engine on the attex with full electrical. We will send pictures as we progress.

Does anyone out there know how we can register our six wheelers, we have no paper work?
                    thanks for any help

Hello and welcome to the site.

Depending on where you live or where you drive them, you may not need to.

                      • Hello from the Mitten

Just picked up a 1999 Max II 14hp, 1st time delving into the 6X6 world but I am a recovering VW addict.

I live in Southern Michigan, hope haul firewood and plow with Max. The Max I bought was from a guy in Jackson and seems to be in pretty good shape but the motor needs a once over, the muffler is basically shot, and the rear right chain is way loose ( I think the tensioner might be shot). Once it's mechanically right, the plan is to get plow before winter hits.

I already have learned quite a bit from ya'lls sight and hope absorb much more as time goes on. So thanks already for all the info you have made available.

                        -Brad
