Hi everyone : I'm new to the 6x6 world both the site and the ride. I am the proud owner of a Max II. I looked at them 10yrs ago,but opted for a quad instead. Now that I bought my Max I realize it was a mistake. And brag about how the Max will walk threw the places my 4x4 quad got stuck. Not to mention how my wife likes the fact that it will float if it goes threw the ice when I'm out fishing. Anyway enough about me for now. I'm looking forward to learning the tricks of this trade,so to speak.

Hi
Dylan here, From waaaay up in Northern Ontario Canada.
I have ATVs in the past, but I just picked up a 1999 Argo Magnum 8x8 with the 18hp Kohler
full top, decent shape I think, needs some minor things addressed,
but I just did all new axels seals bearings and chains, as well as brakes.
Ill get a pick up when I can figure it out.
Im always up to learning more about these machines, and if there's anyone around that wants to take me out and show me what they are capable of, Im game.
dunno what else to say...

Hello everyone - Thank you for this wonderful site. My husband and I are not new to ATV's (own 2 yamahas) but we are new to a used 2001 Argo Conquest. We live on the Eastern Shore of MD where deer hunting and duck hunting is a way of life. I am a granny in early 60's and hubby is nearing 70.
We purchased a used Argo 2 yrs ago. It ran fine. Due to health issues we let it sit for over a year. A "helpful neighbor" tried to get it started with, yes, ether, and yes, consequences were bent push rods and stuck valve. Another neighbor (a real auto mechanic at the other end of the block) had valves, rods, etc. head checked and got her all put back together. Turned the key to start her up .... No fire to the plugs. We used light tester and it showed lit up from ignitor to coil but nothing from coil to plugs. We took ignitor and one coil out to get them tested. Ignitor couldn't be tested and the coil tested at 4.6 omes. This is where we are now. Any suggestions from you wonderful experts?

Welcome to the site everyone!
Troy, congratulations on your Attex purchase and good luck with your restoration.
Red, sounds like you are already having fun with your Max II.
Dylan, you seem to already have most of the normal maintenance items out of the way so now you should be able to enjoy that 8x8!
tobystoy, sorry to hear about your engine problems. Start a new thread in the engine forum and some of the engine gurus may be able to help you out and give you some suggestions.

Hi all. I found my way here because there is a HydroTraxx JT625 in an auction near me and I was doing research. Its about 10 years old and since I haven't seen it yet thats about all I know. Its hard to find any for sale for comparison and I'm in the dark regarding its worth. I did find the checklist on this site which is very helpful. I live in Indiana and have a creek on my property and thought it'd be fun. If anyone has any advise it would be much appreciated! Stan

magnm01, I believe you figured it out. Welcome to the site.
Stan, welcome to the site as well. You don't see many Hydrotraxx on the market so I don't know that you will get much of a response to your question but try starting a new thread in the "Other AATV" forum here on this site. I don't remember ever seeing a used one for sale online anywhere off the top of my headBut they have been around since the 1990's and seem to have a good product. If you haven't seen the interview with Hydrotraxx (http://www.6x6world.com/forums/vip-a...ious-atvs.html) definitely check it out. Sorry I'm not more help but perhaps someone on the site will be able to give you an idea of its value. Taking a guess here, if you can get it for less than $6000 and it is in good shape I would say you were doing very well because they probably go for way more than that on the used market.

Hello everyone, my name is Wayne Fristik and I'm new to this site. I have'nt owned a 6-wheeler since about 1974.I'm not even sure what kind it was. All I remember is it was red and had a 20 h.p. JLO Rockwell engine. After the "crash" my parents made me get rid of it and I never got another one. I live in south eastern N.C. about an hour from Buscoe Beach, for those of you that know what that is it's 1800 acres of some of the greatest trail riding I've ever seen. Well about a week ago I helped a friend move a trailer to Buscoe,we set it up and spent the rest of the day riding 4-wheelers which was fun but it brought back memories of my 6-wheeling days. So to make a long story short I'm ready to trade my Harley for a 6-wheeler and start doing some serious riding. So if there is anyone out there with a spare 6-wheeler or two and you just happen to be in the market for a 1986 Harley Davidson Electra-Glide let me know maybe we can work out a deal.
