Hi Everyone,
I just joined the community. I have owned an 1998 Argo Big Foot for 1 year. This is a great machine and I love it!
The only thing is that I have the Plastic Supertracks, and that I am not fully satisfied. I live in the Quebec City area and we get a lot of snow here.. We also need a machine that can tow in the snow, so I am about to upgrade. I was searching for the best tracks, Argo rubber track, Adair, Escrago ... and I found that community, which is great! So I thought that maybe with the community I will find some good informations, advices and find out the best option for me.

(I didnt hear about them tho until after i had purchased the argo). i recently purchased an 2003 Argo Bigfoot 6x6. i absoultely love it! i have always wanted one. wish i would have bought one a long time ago. I would love to get some info for a cab encloseure for it. I can weld steel but not aluminum. I was wondering if anyone had any light they could shed on this subject for me. i do know that i dont want it to be too heavy so that there is still some water capabilities. but i think it maybe one thing or the other as well. If any one can help out with an idea or some plans i would greatly appreciate it.

Welcome to the site Duramax76. Congrats on your new Bigfoot!

I dont have a cab but I see a lot of cabs using canvas. If you want it light then maybe go that route. You could just make the frame structure and cover it up. Im just like you with the welding. Never touched aluminum. Good luck and if you figure something out post some pictures!

Have worded on it for 3 days freeing up wheel and cleaning electic starter. All drive chains are siezed up. Cut them out. New ones on order. Sould be up and running in 4 day. Hi Serge, welcome to the forums. If you are looking for a manual for the Briggs and Stratton motor, you can sometimes find them on their website depending on what year your motor is.

For bearings, chain, bushings and basic hardware, almost any bearing supply house, Motion Industries, McMaster-Carr, or Buffalo Bearings here in Buffalo can help you out. In general, your machine floats because of the sealed plastic tub, not just because of tires. Your Chevron tires are a decent tire for swimming in the water, but make sure the "V" points toward the rear of the machine when you're viewing the top of the tire. This is the ideal setup to get the most water speed.

Hi Jonathan, welcome to the site. I'm not sure if the keys have changed in the past few years but most of the ones used in Max ATVs are just a standard lawn and garden ignition and key. You can stop by your local small engine repair shop and just ask for a key. They will probably just give you one or only charge a dollar or two. You can also pick these up at autoparts stores but often you have to purchase the ignition and the key.

Hi wrench1up, welcome to the forum. Most parts on all of our machines are fairly common. The transmission is probably the only thing that you would have difficulty finding parts for on the trail boss but there are enough of them around that someone may have a spare they could sell you.
