I have one, and it was very helpful to find the scematics, and manual for the machine. I had the clutch rebuilt, put new bearings in, tires etc, and this should be a great vehicle for me going across the lowlands in Northeastern Minnesota. Thanks for all the information.
Wow a Ranger owner! Welcome to the site.

Not a lot on the rangers here. If you could post some pictures of what you have done to it, that would be sweet. They sure look like fun!

    • Hello 6x6 forum!
I just purchased a 2004 max 2...I live just west of Allentown Pa....I had a dirt bike as a kid and the last 32 years I have had street bikes..I bought the max to use for yard work .But when I did a search on line for the max I found the 6x6 world and saw how much fun you guys were having with them. And my yard already has woods, some marsh area, a creek and a field that floods a couple times a year. So my playground will be my back yard. And there is a lake across the street too..I am going to check with the county on that one to see if they allow those type of vehicles in or around the lake..So that's about it....I do have some questions that I will save for another post....Thanks Jim

      • Hello friends, I've seen the sight quite a bit lately as I become more interested in 6x6-s
I don't really own an amphibious atv, just a bunch of parts that I am trying to make into one. "I could have bought a nice one for half the price I have in parts; but what fun is that?"

          • Welcome to the site everyone.

Jim, it sounds like you have a great place to enjoy your Max II. Most states will allow you to register your ATV as a boat and then you can legally access any waterway where boats are allowed.

Frankie, I think you will fit in quite well around here. There are a lot of members that have ATVs in pieces around here.

            • was put on this site by my dealer 2D Max in Fairbanks. I hhave a Max 2 with tracks, winch, custom snow plow and windshield. I love it as my wife is handicapped and cannot get into thhe bush without it for hunting. I miss my mmachine but hhave found no where to ride it here. I am from North Pole Alaska and my machine is there. I am currently in Missouri and looking to go back for my mmachhine in the spring. I have gotten some ideas from looking at some of the posted pictures for adding things to my Max(my dealer won't like it cause he gets to fabricate it). Am interested in hearing from Max riders in Missouri.

im greg k. have for the past 3 years, been running a mudracing track. i traded for a hustler that had trees growing in it. after some choice words and skint knuckles, ive got it done and really like it. i live on a lake and my 6x6 has taken my flatbottoms place. i go fishing several times a week and i can drive it to the lake and into the lake. it saves time and work. i am a ASE master-tech if anybody has car questions cuz im sure ill have many 6x6 questions. thanks

                    • Hello to all

I am new to the 6x6 world. I live in Colorado. I just bought a 1980 Hustler/Sidewinder 2 days ago. Starting the teardown phase ASAP to fix a rebuild all that is needed to make this a good running and looking machine. It has a new 18hp B&S (only 3 hours) The rest needs some TLC....a darn good cleaning, lots of inspections, and some tranny mods. Anyone that can lend some advice on tips would be great.

                          • Hello everyone. My name is Jason and I am from southern Wisconsin. I have owned an Argo 6 x 6 for eight years. I use it for deer hunting and icefishing. Even after all these years the abilities of these vehicles still surprise me. Last year when my snowmobile got stuck in the blizzard (24 inches with lots of deep drifts) the Argo with tracks just walked right thru.
