Hello all AATV ers. I just bought an used Argo Bigfoot to help me with tree tapping this coming spring (maple syrup). I usually encounter snow, slush, and mud, and needed a vehicle to reach remote isolated treed areas while crossing wide open farm fields. Hope this vehicle does the trick. I have down loaded all the manuals I could find on the Bigfoot, and it looks like a maintenace feast ahead of me. I will be looking for some helpful advice on servicing this vehicle. Hope you can help out sometimes, starting with the easiest way to do an oil change (B&S 18 hp Twin V). Do I really have to remove the driven cluch assembly every time?
Hi Mitchell, welcome to the site. Your bigfoot should help you reach those untapped trees and the maintenance really isn't bad if you keep up with it. Regular greasing of the bearings, lubing of the chains, keep the tub clean and have fun. For your oil change question, try posting that in the Argo forum but I believe you can do that without removing the clutch.
Hello. Interested in AATV's, do not own one yet. have 24 acres I just purchased in Southampton county, VA that is polling hill pines with some low land creek and swap. I think a 6 wheeler would bea perfect set up. Here looking for infomation on the best older model to purchase.
Welcome to the site all the aatvs are great so u can't go wrong in my opinion. I have a max 2 and a hustler 950 and love them both. The good thing about the max is recreative industries is still going strong so if u find an older max u can get any parts u need from them. I had an 1999 Argo and it was a good machine too so pretty much just which one u prefer.

Post up some pics of your machine so we can figure out what model it is. the bodies were usually what got trashed, so there are probably some members near you with a decent frame laying around... unless of course your just itching to build a frame of your own
