hello everyone , my name is Greg, I live in Arkansas. I am new to all this soooooo????? A little over a year ago I bought a Hustler, I think it's a 1976 or so. Got it with an extra engine AND trans. (parts motor) for $150. And 3 weeks ago I finally talked Mr. Smith into selling...... 2 Hustlers; One is a Bigfoot with the twin cylinder motor, Both for $500. I couldn't believe it! Anyhow, I'm looking forward to being a part of this great big family.

Hey Guys, after going to a auction I find myself with an Argo Avenger. Needs a little attention here and there, but so far I have enjoyed it. I've already seen there is a few in NC with Argos, and a ride close by now and again. Maybe after the areas that need attention gets fixed, I will join some of the rides. Im seeking a hood if anyone know where I can find a used one. Thanks KCLast edited by Kc8x8; 10-14-2012, 09:16 PM.

Hi KC, there are quite a few of us that live here in NC. The ride in Goldsboro, NC at Busco Beach is a blast so you should plan on attending. We hold it twice a year. It was this weekend and it will be held again in April (date to be determined). Congratulations on your Avenger. If you fail to find a used hood, you can always order one although they are fairly expensive. Ken Bost is an Argo dealer located in Rockwell, NC. You should look him up and ask him to be on the lookout for you. Also, if you can't find one, see what he can order one for. Have fun with your Argo.

Hi, I live in Alaska and recently acquired an argo that needs work. The wife and I love the outdoors and are looking forward to making this thing our new toy. Question, how can you tell the year of these machines as we need to start getting parts. As far as that goes, does anyone know where we can get parts for these? Looking forward to being part of the forum.

Welcome to the site! For Bearings, chains, sprockets, etc. you can go through Buffalo Bearing (716) 874-1720. They're great people and many 6x6Worldmembers deal with them. For Argo specific parts try locating an Argo dealer near you.....I know there are a few up your way. They might also be able to tell you the year of the machine based on the serial number. If they can't ODG/Argo should be able to if you contact them directly. Whatever you do, NEVER deal with Richard Clark/Route6x6. Many, many people have been burned by him, his prices for his parts and shipping and "handling" are rediculously high, they're inferior quality, and his customer service is horrible. If you need some parts you can ask other 6X6World members by posting an ad in the "Wanted" section here on the site. Good luck with the rebuild and keep us updated."Looks like you have a problem with your 4 wheeler........you're missin' two wheels there"

Hello----I am the new owner of a 1995 Conquest 8x8. Picked this up on Monday. It has not been run in 3-4 years and I thought I might get some pretty good advise on getting this thing back in shape. Clean the fuel system's up and replaced with fresh gas and she fired right up. Trans/ brakes seems to work right but now getting into the guts of it. What should I look for? Hour guage shows 425 hrours. Thanks for the site and look forward to chatting with everyone.
