You should be able to get a lot of advise here. Don't be afraid to ask questions. If you can, post up some pictures of your machines and post your location in your profile.

Welcome bri-dog. It's nice to see another Wisconsin member. I think that brings the number up to 8. There may be more than that but they did not enter a location in their profiles. I'm a few hours NW of you. Does bri-dog stand for brittany spaniel?
What repairs do you need? A good source for Max parts in WI although not real local to you or me is Bob Cruse at BC Wheels in Wyocena.

Hi there, I am slow, it took me twenty minutes to find my way here. My name is george and I own a hustler from the eighties. I see it on your site as the "do the hustle" name. I removed the Kohler 436 engine that was shot when I purchased it about a year ago. I now have a Rotax 503 engine in and it may be too much, it screams, about 50 hp. I still have a way to go with the exhaust and I am puting in an electric starter next week if it's not to cold here in Salt Lake. I will attach pictures if I can figure out how. It's the one painted grass green with a roolbar with lights sticking up too high. Best regards, geo
I believe Artist is our resident psychic, or maybe he read your post in the Max forum, I believe you introduced yourself as from Texas Anyway, Welcome to the site Do you have a Max yet? Or looking at one?
Edit: Derrr. I am not the psychic and it shows. So you have a Max IV, answered my own question.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

Hello Everyone, I have been looking at all the cool rides here for a couple weeks and decided it was my time to say Hello.
I live in S.W. Florida, and have been interested in the 6x6's since I was a kid and saw them on the TV show Banana Splits. Does that say how old I am? LOL Any way, I would love to get ahold of one if these to have something to play with. Not sure where I would ride it down here, but would sure be fun.
I know why the steering handles are in the center, but does that not make it hard to have two people in the front? (Gotta bring your favorite girl along for the ride) Has anyone tried to move the handles to one side? Been looking at some of the posted photos, and do not think it would be that hard.
Anyway, Great Site, Love It. Steve In Florida
mark.aa, since that max has a 2 stroke it will be a late 70's/ early 80's model. The serial number will help you narrow it down further.
seahunter, you can easily move the laterals to one side however you should ride one before you do that. You will probably want to leave them where they are for balance / weight issues. That way you can sling your weight to either side and not be tied to the left side. It's not very difficult to drive sitting to the left of the laterals if you do have two people in the AATV. Just a thought.
Thanks Mike, I have never drove one or ridden in one so your comments make sense. I have some ideas for a roll bar hard top and other little goodies. Just need to get me a project to work on. Thanks
