  • Great to have you Dan

Glad to have you on the site. There are several of us Carolina AATVs around. As Mike has said maybe we can all make a ride together. Hope you get your machine up and going without to much trouble. You will really enjoy it. There are plenty of people here that know a lot about the Max. Your not to far from my location.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

    • ..and the Carolina group just keeps growing! Dan, I live in Kings Mountain but most of the other NC guys on here live closer to you than I do. We have a ride coming up in the Spring at Busco Beach in Goldsboro NC. Check out the Trail ride section for some video and pictures of previous rides.

Here's one thread to get you started. I'll post a link to the middle of the thread where the video and pictures start pouring in: http://www.6x6world.com/forums/trail...0-12-a-15.html

atvrider93, it's good to have you on the site. Congratulations on the Scrambler. I love the way those look. I hope you can join us for a ride too when you get up and running.

OK, I officially envy you. I've been hunting a good 350X or 250R for a while, do have a couple 250X quads and love em, just want a trike.
                  And Welcome to the forum!!!

X2, and also check Fuel filter, if it's pluged up it can also do that.
ATV Welcome. Good to see another R/Cer. I haven't broken it to 1/5th yet, but the Baja is on my spring list, the new Baja Truck looks nice but I still think I like the sand rail best. I have Nitro and Electric, now I need gas

                  • pgerblonsli & atvrider93,

Welcome, it's great to have more guys from NC coming aboard. I live just outside Charlotte in Stanley.

                    Pgerblonski,

I lived in Winston-Salem for four years when I was at Wake. I still miss eating at Mountain Fried Chicken. Have a good one!

                          • well guys i took the plunge today... picked up my 1994 600t max 4 will be calling richard's relics for parts soon! i know i need the sprockets on the rear axle on the right side, and i figure as the machine looks completely original, that i probably ought to replace the left side as well since the wear there is probably similar - the chain is still on the left so it's prolly harder to visualize the need...
i'll need that short little chain, and a full set (yep all 6) tensioner sprockets... any insights into this would be appreciated... and if there are how-to's on this somewhere please point me there! i do have the hollow axles, and am currently figuring on staying hollow until i learn more, and decide if i'm going to be airborne enough to need solid axles :-D

as a side note, decided for fun to fire up the old grizzly and the kids' four wheelers this afternoon to play.. guess the 4wheelers have found out about the max 4 - nothing would crank or run worth anything... it's a mass rebellion!!!

                            • Congratulations on your Max! I would call the factory first. That's where Richard gets his parts so cut out the middle man and save some cash! Amphibious Six-Wheel Drive All-Terrain Vehicles: MaxATVs - Call 1-800-255-2511

However, those sprockets can get pricey so be prepared. Actually, you may want to post here in the wanted section first and you could possibly find someone here that has what you need cheaper.

Either way, keep us updated on the progress and start planning to come ride with us in the spring!

                              • hey i just happened upon this site yesterday, and first off I have to say I have got more information on my t-20 transmission here than anywhere else. i am 19 years old and ended up with a deal for 2 hustlers for $1000 dollars about a year ago. I am almost done restoring it but I found I had a problem with the tranny. Thanks to the sites how to's ive almost completely rebuilt it, but my problem is i have a broken piecein my my steering(think its the t shaped metal piece that goes into the tranny) but after I pulled off the c clip I still cannot get my diamond out, any ideas will b appreciated
