          Hello Rod,

The urge to hack wiring and take motors. I have only bought 1 amphib that had a motor in it, my attex 225/hustler. What the heck people? lol

Well glad you came to your sences and back to 6 wheelin. If you need any wiring questions answer post them up, we all will help. Glad you found the site and good luck with your argo.

Hello everyone. Been lurking a few days reading the wealth of information. I just purchased my first Argo off craigslist after looking at them for a while. It's older but in great condition for a 1974. I was told it's an Argo Bigfoot with a 399 Rotax but I have no idea. The motor says made in Austria on it. I don't know what's original and what's not. It has a speedometer, volt gauge, and 2 cylinder temp gauges. It runs great but the brakes/steering seems to be out of adjustment. I can pull both sticks almost to my chest and it still doesn't really want to turn. It looks like an adjustment screw on the bottom of each lever but again I'm not sure what they do. Couple things it needs I'll post the want ads, air cleaner assembly, headlight assembly and a manual. I can't wait to get this thing in the marsh during deer season. I'll try to post a picture.

                  Hell-0 everyone:
My name is Herb, I reside in Salt Lake City, Utah. Hobbies consist of fishing, hunting, working on various types of vehicles, fabricating, riding. As far as ATV, in the past I've owned an Amphicat, Capparrel and a Max. Each one was a favorite, as each one seemed to somehow leave it's place in my memories. Personally, I don't think they make a bad All Terrain Vehicle, if you don't mind repairing or adjusting on occation. I guess that is why each machine has a way of personally touching someone (if that's safely possible).
At present, I don't own an ATV. I'm trying to find an Argo Electrical Schematic to help a friend put his Argo (8x8) together. As a friend of a friend removed the key switch and cut the wires. Anyway, I'm glad I ran into your world and hope that I may be of some input, info or help to someone out there. Thank You for permitting me access and time. God Bless you all. Herb

                      • hello all

Just thought I would say hi and introduce myself. I live in Illinois near Starved Rock. I have been drive'n break'n and build'n everything on wheels my entire adult life. I recently bought a new house with some acreage, creek(small) and a pond and have been thinking AATV since I moved in. I have only had one in the past, an Attex, 1970 something put lots into it and sold it after a few years. Now I want another one. So if anybody has a decent cheap unit for sale I am looking. Thinking about a 4 seater but open to just about anything. I have more time than money so a little rough around the edges is fine but needs to at least run to get me addicted again

                          • Hi, great site, I live in Australia and was just wondering if anyone has heard of an aluminium 6 wheel drive amphibious with a propellor at the rear, it has a twin cylinder 500 cc 2 stroke engine and a sticker on the front that says UNITES.

                              • Hi guys and welcome to the site! Thanks for the introductions. We look forward to seeing you around.

cuppa62, if you will start a new thread in the "other AATV" forum titled something like "Help identify this 6x6" you may get a better response. Not everyone checks this thread.

If you have any pictures of it, that will help too.

                                Again, welcome.
