Brian and Al, welcome to the site. You guys may want to start a new thread in the appropriate forum for your questions. They will probably get a better response there. Not as many people check this thread regularly.

Al, the 26" tires effectively raise your "gear ratio" so compared to the same Max IV with 22" tires you would notice less torque. However, with that said, that 23hp has enough power to make up for it and I don't think you will be lacking in your ability to climb. You will probably spin your tires before you run out of power.

Howdy folks,

I'm Randy C from North Carolina. Getting into AATV's because I got stuck 7 miles in the middle of nowhere and had to hike out. NEVER AGAIN!!! I just made a deal on an Argo 8x8 and will be going after her tomorrow night. Looking forward to learning as much as I can about them. Seems like a great bunch of folks on here.

Well, I work a lot, I Hunt everthing that swims, walks, or flys. I enjoy flying airplanes and aparently havn't grown up yet. Look forward to meeting ya'll on one of the rides soon.

Howdy Gang. Ths is my first shot on this forum.
I have lived in Alaska since 1969. Bought my first Cushman Trackster in 1971.I've owned a few aatv's since. My last was a Hydro Taxx, which I sold a couple of years ago.A good tough machine.I spent several years in an Argo while working along the Trans Alaskan Pipeline. The Argo is also a fine machine.
I have been running a Prowler with tracks for the last three years. Nice comfortable machine but doesn't float very well.
I have recently driven a Mudd Ox. I was so impressed that I now am trying to figure out how to get my hands on one.
It is by far the best designed machine I have driven.
I spend several times a week in aatv's, year around, and have walked many miles after being stuck or broken down.
The older I get, the less I like walking out of bogs. I do believe that Mudd Ox will hold up under what I will be doing.
