could you post a picture of your modified shift levers ... would love to see how much bend you haveOriginally posted by nammit View PostI have my max split also and it work great. If you get in a tight creek and have to do a 180 it pivots right now. It also make the transmission shift much easier. Another nice mod is to put you steering shafts in a pipe bender and give them more tweak to the left so you are not sitting in the middle. It really helps if you take passengers along.

Thanks HP! Im happy doing stuff like that helps people out. Unfortunately, I don't have the measurements. I just went around through my scrap and found a piece that would work. Just measure the shaft and find a piece of thick walled pipe with the ID the same as OD of the shaft. The thicker the stronger it will be.Originally posted by Heaven's Pavement View PostThanks for sharing Larry, this is a have to mod for me.
What size where the parts you used, especially the "collar" piece.
Thanks.
Good luck with it and post some pictures of it when done.

My "good stuff" pile does not consist of goody goods of this sort so I'll be making a home depot trip.
Thanks for the help!

The modification will not wear on your machine, but possibly on you. With one side in forward and one in reverse it will turn scary fast, BE CAREFUL. I'm sure lawyers are the reason R.I. does not include this on new machines.Originally posted by phil_1066 View PostHi, Just joined the site and am interested in doing this mod on my new max 2. Is there any issue with mod as in additional wear and tear, dammage etc.
