Modified the T-20 with replacement popsicle sticks for the "U" channels. Took 50% of the slop out of the U channel setup. Will test it before adding a bolt on pivot.

Modified the laterals to drive comfortably with passenger. Clamp coupling allow to change back to single person center position.

Fortunately I have access to some nice hydraulic benders. Material is 7/8" x .120 4130.

So that's how you did it with no kinks in the material. 45° bends with hollow material never look that good when done by me on harbor fright equipment. Any hollow tube with that degree of bend ends up stress cracked or creased.

There is a u tube vid on modifying a HF bender to keep the tube from kinking. They made a simple strap that held the tube in place at the apex of the bend.

That's a welding blanket.
Bridget, Patience my dear. I'll be running by next Sunday. Building the cage took a bit longer than expected. It didn't look that complicated on the cocktail napkin.

Yes, it's connected to the suspension side plates in the front and back. The main support is attached to the existing roll bar pins with legs down to the chassis. Yes they are fender supports. The upper body can be lifted up for service without removing the roll cage.
