As for the rokon, I will trade oh 25 minutes(+/- few hours) of attex military trainer time for rokon time? What you thing?
Between watching races and trail riding, goofing around and hang out with everyone this will be soooo fun!!!!
Bridget,
The weather here has been really humid past few days here also. I hope it mellows out a tad bit. The weather last year was sooo awesome. Sunny but perfect temp. Cool calm breeze. Hope we luck out again!
sounds like a fair trade to me. we are bringing out neice with us and she will probably be running the wild wolf, so i'll be Rokon riding on the trails. i'm sure i'll be looking for something with 6/8 wheels to ride. how are you gonna explain to little Larry that your allowed to ride a 2 wheeler and he isn't???
the ankle is feeling pretty good and i got my insurance worked out, so i will be able to race, but my offer still stands. if anyone wants to run my machine in a different class, they are welcome to it.
I've been trying to convince Beth to blow off work for the week and head up early but so far she hasn't bought into the idea.
can't wait to get up there and see everyone again!

Bridget and Whipper--Safe Travels and we can't wait to see you guys again!
As for Brian's idea about blowing off work...I would love to but I've got a few more things to do to close out the school year. It is a very tempting offer but my boss would not be happy! I know the waiting is getting to Brian...the trailer is already loaded. I'll come home from work on Monday and he'll be packed. What am I going to do with him for 3 more days??? Any ideas?
As Brian said, we've added one to our traveling band. My niece, Becky, is coming with us. In exchange for her babysitting Wyatt we offered her primo lodging, great food, awesome entertainment and all the smores she can eat. She went for it without hesitation. She is in for a treat!!
Safe Travels to everyone and we'll see ya'll in a few days!
I won't be able to make it this year after all. My wife and I are buying a new house and have too much to do to get away with the swamp fox. On a bright side my new house is right in the river where it is very shallow and the riding will be much better then I have now. Hope to hear good stories and maybe next year I can meet everyone. Have fun

Sorry to hear you cant make it. Sounds like a nice spot for a house though!!!
Glad to hear from Bridget and Whipper and that their traveling is going well.
Sorry you will not be able to join us Bronco but we understand a house hits a little higher that a race. Next year, there will be another one.
Beth, i saw the trailer the other day. That poor truck. Race has found every square inch of usable space, and he used it.
The Crush will be driven today for the first time, not much test and tune time. I will try to get all the bugs out. I have 4 days left.
The humidity is a killer here right now in North Carolina. Feels like we are breathing liquid.
Hope all are well and all travel safe as you leave out for the race and will see you in Ashtabula for a great week-end of fun and excitement.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"
This will be my first time and unfortunately My Tomahawk has no way of coming with me (not that the old 4 stroke would win anything), but I want to bring my son out to see there are others like me that love these crazy machines. I'm not sure if I am going to camp, but I was thinking of bringing a set of hard plastic tracks to see if anyone wanted to swap for some swimming tires. PM me if your interested in the tracks.

I think he will be impressed that there are many of us and at the different styles of machines. U-haul has a small trailer that can be rented. I rented a 6x12 for the springer.
Glad to hear you are coming to Ash Amphibious Drew.

I am looking forward to seeing the awesome varity of machines and all of the creative modifications. Everyone was very friendly last year, and super helpful answering my numerous restoration questions. I am still a racer wantabe but am hoping to at least get a trail machine there. The racer I am trying to complete needs some parts. If anyone has the following parts and is going to Ashtabula, please PM me!
Attex ST/300/D
Needed:
At least 1 sprocket/Tube assembly,26 teeth,1 inch. Possibly a 2nd one. I have broken teeth/bent teeth
At least 1 aluminum bearing hub. Possibly a 2nd one to replace a steel one. I have a cracked aluminum one.
Two of the 3 bolt tubes that go on the "slightly smaller than 1 inch" axles. The flotation tire mounting hubs/tubes.
Anyone that can help, please contact!
Hey Groundhog,
I have some hubs and sprockets that do not fit my Superchief.
If you can take a picture of the OLD hub/sprocket and measure EVERYTHING and pass those dimensions along, I may be able to help.

I'll be camping there, and I'll be arriving Thursday afternoon. There's a lot of space there, so you shouldn't have too much trouble getting in and out of the campgrounds. I'm probably going to park at the same place I was last year with all the other 6x6World members. Go down the entry road, pass the starting line, and swing a right at the corner of the track and you'll see us all there. Just pick a spot and pull on up.

I had some camping questions too.
There is no electric right?
I remember the big 1/2 wrecking ball bon fire thing but is that the only fire allowed? Are fires ok to cook on? Is there fire wood somewhere to buy?
I am assuming you all brought your own food or is there a place nearby to get something. Like fast food or something in that nature? Any local Red lobsters or old country buffet?
No hookups of any kind. There are porta-jons there though. I believe fires are ok. Bud brought the firewood for the fire last time for free. There are plenty of fast food places within a 10 mile radius too for food.

Hey Larry,
Camp next to me and bring a long extension cord, you can use some of the 110v from the generator.
I'm thinking it's a hotdog/hamburger kind of weekend for us.
I hope to bring some firewood with me also, depends on how much room is left on the trailer after getting the Attex's on it.
