    • Looks like you and Bridget are all set to go. I don't know about you guys, but I'd be so excited that I wouldn't be able to sleep. And I just watched your 2009 Pine Lake teaser vid and so I'm even more pumped. And on top of it, I might be picking up a nice 16' tandem axle trailer this weekend, so 3 or maybe even 4 machines could possibly be coming with me this year.

      • Take care on the cross country ride. See you guys at Ash!!!!
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

          • Axles, I need axles for my hustler project. Have one front that is slightly bent and a rear one that the flange is actually welded on cadywompus and washers are used as "shims" you gotta see this one! Anyhow, i"m interested in any old stuff anyone may have. I"m sure I can make something work. Thanks Joe.

                • I have the Truck and the Apache insured with Allstate. Getting the Lil' Truck insured took longer for some reason. I insured that one this year and the Apache last year. My agent had to get Customer Service involved but after a week or two, it was done. I think I'm paying $100 each.

                  • thanks for the tips guys. after hours on the phone i found out that motorcycle/ ATV insurance in North Carolina does not cover the operator for medical. i'll have to explore other options.

they will only do max and argo, and the operator has no personal injury coverage (in NC). i have an aplication in for a short term health insurance policy. hopefully it will go through in time for the races... if not it will still be a fun weekend, just at a much slower pace!

the Rokon is on the trailer and anyone who wants to take it for a spin is welcome to. for everyone racing this is a non issue, but if your coming to watch or trail ride, and want to try the Rokon out, please bring a helmet. while it's top speed is only in the mid 20's, with 2 wheel drive the steering is a lot different than any other bike and it does have the abality to throw the rider to the ground in a hurry.

Made it to Illinois today. The humidity since we got out of New Mexico sucks. Hoping the weather coming from north China soon will be much better. We did see our first double rainbow coming out of a St Louis storm.

This thread is quiet, too. It must be the calm before the storm.

I hope you find some insurance.

As for the rokon, I will trade oh 25 minutes(+/- few hours) of attex military trainer time for rokon time? What you thing?

Between watching races and trail riding, goofing around and hang out with everyone this will be soooo fun!!!!

                              Bridget,
The weather here has been really humid past few days here also. I hope it mellows out a tad bit. The weather last year was sooo awesome. Sunny but perfect temp. Cool calm breeze. Hope we luck out again!

Glad to hear you guys made it safely. That's a long distance in a short time! And yes, I think you're absolutely right about this being the calm before the storm. I think its a pretty good bet to say there's a lot a brewin behind the scenes right now!
