    Very Good Numbers

Rut, thanks for taking the time to GPS the test and document the conditions. This is the kind of feedback we need. Very decent performance!

Glad to hear your tires made it to you.......these things are no joke! I remember when mine were shipped to me. I counldn't believe the difference between them and the stock Goodyears on my Hustler 980. Once you take them for the first ride you'll be hooked. Keep us updated.

Pretty excited to hear the results.....I don't have a prediction about the water speed...but I know how the mudding test is going to go!

              My prediction is this:

The ASX tires won,t swim as fast as the Terra tires ,and surely not as fast as the new 25 inch , Frontier tires, but for sure , they,ll be faster in the water than the Vampire TSL tires.

Well, I got the tires mounted. They bolt on with what looks like ok clearance without spacers. I only test drove it arround the yard in the rain, so better info will follow. I should have spacers by the end of the week. I think Dan says that the tires can rub on the tub when turning, and is the reason for the spacers.

Thanks! I've had mine on my Hustler 980 BIGFOOT since last summer, but haven't tried them in any serious mud yet. That's going to change later this month when I take it on some trails near my place that swallow huge full size lifted trucks with 1 ton running gear and 44" tires. There is plenty of space on Hustlers for these wide tires and they don't even come close to rubbing. There is no need for wheel spacers either. I'll be sure to have some videos of serious mud action coming soon.

MightymaxIV and myself are both "chomping at the bit " to see how well six ASX tires perform on your Hustler Bigfoot , in some really SERIOUs mud!!

Well guys, I might just have to take my Hustler through that huge mudhole I mentioned before. It is known all around the town as the mud bog that nobody can get through (because most folks ride quads around here and always get stuck in it when they try to cross). I was able to work my Max II through there once, but I really had to rock it back and forth and it was quite a job, but I did make it. I think the Hustler on 26" ASX's would have to put much less effort forth. I'll get some video as soon as I head up there again.

Got to test the ASX tires today. We just had 12" of rain in the last 3 days. The tires do present a softer ride, and I settled for about 3 psi. Acceleration seems the same with the 18HP vanguard as with the stock tires. In the mud, these tires are incredible. In the water they leave alot to be desired. On single track that is flooded, I found it very hard to control while floating. I found myself drifting into trees and bushes. I never had that problem with the Goodyears. Testing in the pond with the tires in the forward position showed 1.3mph...Funny the Goodyears were 3.1mph.

I went home and flipped the tires to run backwards like we usually run. Not much better, but 1.7mph at 3,500rpm. Higher RPM's seem to throw water into the hull from the rear.

Still waiting on the wheel spacers. I will try some more testing with spacers. I am thinking that I will probably fit two Goodyears on the rear to try and gain control in the water.
