Busco Beach in NC, April 22-24, 2016

6X6 World semi-annual Spring trail ride at Busco Beach Off Road Park in Goldsboro, NC! Come ride with your fellow members and get to know the face (and six wheeler) behind the username. This is a great offroad park for AATVs.

Most people will arrive on Thursday night late or Friday morning early and stay through Sunday or Monday. If you haven't been on a ride and there is any way you can make it, I encourage you to come out and ride with some other AATVs even if just for a day. We always have fun and love meeting others from the site. Here's the info:

    When:
    April 22-24

Here is a link to the event on our calendar so that you can get a reminder via email when it gets closer: http://www.6x6world.com/forums/calen...&day=2016-4-22

    Where:
Busco Beach off road park in Goldsboro, NC.

Here is a Google map of Busco Beach so you can see how far it is from where you live: Map of Busco Beach

Here is a link to their website: Busco Beach

    They offer:

    - A mud pit
    - Several ponds
    - A drag strip
    - MX Tracks
    - 1800 acres of trails
    - Bath houses with bathrooms and showers
    - A concession stand during the day

    Cost:
    $5 entrance fee per person
$10 per ATV that you bring

    Primitive Camping - $5 a night
    RV camping w/ hookup (30A) - $25 a night

    What's Required:
The park now requires riders to wear helmets unless you have three-point or greater roll-over protection. This requirement applies whenever you are in your ATV and it is moving. This means as long as you have a roll cage, you do not have to wear helmets. On any ATV without a roll cage or on any ATV with just a roll bar, the riders must wear helmets.

I was hoping this ride would be the same weekend as the six wheeler races at Lenoir County Fairground in Kinston, North Carolina. The race track is about 1/2 hour from Busco Beach. It would be great to combine the two events for those of us who have a long haul. The races are the weekend after this ride.

I'm not against scheduling it for another date if the majority of you would rather do it another weekend. My main goals were avoiding Easter weekend and the race weekend. I thought that those racing probably wouldn't have time to go to Busco too? There was also supposed to be a race at Busco Beach later in August. Perhaps that would be a good time to get in both some racing and an impromptu trail ride weekend? Maybe three Busco Beach rides this year?

No, let's just move forward with the weekend listed in the first post and then possibly add another ride in August as well during the race weekend at Busco Beach. We've gone back and forth on dates before to try and accommodate more members and I think it caused bigger problems in the end. Not everyone was vocal on the forum and that created other issues. Sorry for the confusion.

Have site B8 for the ride. Hate to hear that some of the regulars can't make it.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"
