Hi. I live in northern Minnesota and have owned my 99 Argo Conquest for about a year. The first day I bought it I got stuck in a bog and had to be pulled out. That was a little disappointing. After that I bought a warn winch. I am now in the market for a set of tracks. I plan on keeping the tracks on year round. Thinking about ordering Adair 14.5" Pro series next week.

Hi Conqueste, welcome to the forum. We have all had those kind of moments where we get into places that we can't get out of. The good news is that as you get to know your Argo better, you figure out some of the tricks to driving a skid steer ATV. I'm sure you've learned a lot now that you have gained some more seat time over the past year. Even with experience, no ATV is immune to getting stuck. The tracks will definitely help to improve your chances though.

I will for sure post some pics when i remeber to take the camera with me... i hunt in some of the nastiest swamps, cattails in every direction, mud and water is so deep we have to wear chest wadders to get to our stands, and we stuggle every year making trails to our stands... not this year! I have been to all of the stands that we have and not yet have i gotten stuck! Normally its an all weekend ordeal with a couple of guy and a couple of 4 wheelers pushing and pulling to get a trail beat down. 2 hrs of me in the argo and we were done for the year! Wish we wouldve gotten one of these a loooooong time ago!I can go where your atv can go, I can go where your jon boat can go, and I can go where neither one can go!

Hey mike, I have a 1994 max buffalo truck and as you may guess its old and needs an overhaul on the drivetrain, my luck is that I cant find parts. so I came across this site and theres more buffalos then the I can see, I may also need help in the future if the T20 tranny lets go. my father and I are also looking for a newer 8x8 argo 750 HDi with a winch and 18" rubber tracks. im in thunder bay, Ontario of Canada.

The body line is a little different on the top, and the transmission/steering stick setup definitely look like an Amphicat, but the body is absolutely a Hawk. I wonder if PowerDyne experimented with different drivelines over the years. We really know very little about them. I see you've already started some repairs to the ABS body. There are a lot of threads on ABS repair and a few different approaches on how to get it secured back together. Check these threads out for starters....

Mike,
I thought this was a Power Dyne Hawk Hi Torq at first too, but after looking at the pics, it's definitely an Amphicat frame and since the body lines are just a slight bit different it appears to be exactly like this rare Sears Sportster (a pre fiberglass, T-20 one that is the much more commonly seen one). Also, the body on Railrat's machine is an orange top with a light colored bottom, just like the Sears Sportster in Max Attack's pic. Maybe Power Dyne Corporation re-branded them to be sold as Sears Sportsters and/or some other name possibly.

Ah, that's the picture I was looking for.... I couldn't remember what the lines looked like on that Sportster. Did Max Attack's Sportster have the 'Cat transmission, too? So maybe this is the only other "first gen" Sportster we've seen?
I can keep track of this crap... it's why I have you around.sigpic

The Hawk Sportster had a date of around 1975......That is after the 1970 other style we know to be correct.
