        • Hello all. My name is Russ. Very new to the world of 6x6's. Always wanted one for deer hunting here on the eastern shore of Maryland. So recently I purchased a pretty ragged 89 max II with the intentions of rebuilding the whole machine. So far the process has been going ok. Fully disassembled everything. Frame off. Sand blasted and coated the frame in Por-15. It's going slow but I'm on to rebuilding the t-20 right now. I'm sure this site will help me with my needs ad questions.

          • Welcome Russ. You're right about this site. I've been rebuilding my Max and the information I've gleened from here has been extremely useful. Not only relative to the Max, but other machines and the hobby in general. These guys are a wealth of knowledge and humor, and more than willing to help.

              • Hi All

I am a newbie from the UK and as part of my job I have just started to look after 4 Argo's . Untill about 3 months ago I had never heard of them let along driven one , repairing them has been a steep lurning curve but enjoyable. I have already picked up loads of info from this site , but i am sure i will be needing to ask a lot of questions . Great site thanks .

                  • Hello all, Newbie from Napa, California. Never saw a 6 wheeler inperson until last week when I bought a Hustler (950 I believe) basket case. Had been stored exposed to the elements for years and will probably need everything worked over. Since I know NOTHING about these machines I will probably be asking lots of stupid questions. I've already answered many questions by reading posts on this site. Thanks, Frank

                    • That is the whitest hustler I have ever seen. Use a heat gun on low to try and bring back that nice brown. Welcome aboard and good luck on your build.

                      • Welcome to the site fesser!
Is it painted white or oxidized? Im guessing by the fuel cap its painted. Feel free to ask any questions in the hustler section. Lots of good help here for you. Good luck and congrats!

                        • It is really that oxidized. The white is offset nicely by the rust that covers every other surface. I'll try the heat gun. I assume I just carefully work it over the surface without melting anything.

                              Try this.....

How to bring the shine back to your HDPE body by using a regular heat gun. This easy trick will remove the white oxidation and have your amphibious ATV looking like new again in no time.

How to remove oxidation from your HDPE six wheeler body and restore that original shine. If your six wheeler body is looking faded this is how you can bring it back to life.

                              It'll work great!
