  • Hi all my neme is Keith I live in Oxford Maine love the site. I came by a 1995 maxIV with 18 hp vg. canves cover the 26"tires plus the original tires and wheels this fall and just had to have it! So now I do. I think it was a good deal. All though it is turning in to a money pit! Working on chains and t20 problems. I think I have the t20 problems worked out. Thanks to this site! Great info thanks.

      • New member here from Virginia. I do not own a 6X6 (yet), but am looking for a used MaxII. I currently own a quad and a Rokon 2 wheel drive bike. The Rokon will go anywhere (it floats), but the capability of the 6 wheelers has my interest. The 6 wheelers around here (Richmond area) are very rare.

I'll be around. Cool site you all have here. RR

Those Rokons are pretty cool bikes. I rode 6X6World member Racerone3's Rokon (an early 2 stroke one I believe). There are a couple other members around the Richmond area. I think they held a ride a couple months back actually. And if you're in Richmond, you really should make the short 2.5 hour drive to Busco Beach, NC for the next big 6 wheeler event this Spring. There's lots of great folks in our group that'll certainly let you take some 6 wheelers out for a spin to show you what they can do......you'll certainly be impressed. Welcome to the site!

          • Hi everybody. My name's Mike and I'm new to this forum. I live in Kenora Ontario Canada. Haven't owned an amphib yet (other than an amphi-car when I was real small), but I am looking at a NOS Li'l Critter AV-4 with 23 hp engine. At $4500 I think it's not a bad asking price. Can you still get parts for these? Also had this pic taken 40 yrs ago. Any ideas? Looking forward to enjoying this site.

            • Glad to have another Mainer on the site, Keith. I'm in Portland, but I also have property in Naples, not far from you. Maybe I'll see you on the trails.

                • Mike, welcome to the site. That is a cool photo. Perhaps someone will recognize it but if not you may want to start a new thread in the "Other AATVs" section of the site and ask what it is. Not everyone checks this thread.

Hey Mike, that's a great pic! I think what you had was a Speedway Spoiler. They look like cool little machines. Here's a link to a sales brochure for one on ebay. Welcome to the site!

                              • Hello, I'm new to aatving, a friend gave my wife and I a ride in his and we loved it. We purchased an older argo 8 that seems to be in good shape but need to put windshield on it and make a back rest. We live in western Alaska with lots of tundra. We're looking forward to using it this spring. I'm thinking of replacing the tecimseh with a honda v twin, has anyone done this before?
