  • Hello from Texas

I just signed up. I'm from the Gulf Coast area of Texas and was looking for a Kid ATV with tracks. My dad had one of these when we were kids and used for goose hunting. That thing would go anywhere. I still have a windshield for it and would really like to find another on. We do alot of wild hog hunting and the Kid would be very effective in that area. If anyone knows where on is for sale I would really appreciate it. Thanks

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
      Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

If it don't have 6 wheels and floats.. isn't any good to me. Have you ever tried floating a 4 wheeler across a pond... Doesn't work very well does it?

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

              • Hey - New Member Here

Wow! I have been reading this forum for a couple of days now and man does it ever bring back memories. GREAT memories.

I have never owned a 6 wheeler although I can't believe how deep the 6 wheeler bug has dug beneath my obsessive, adventurous skin since I started reading this forum.

I already have my eye on a Attex for sale on Craigslist.

I am pretty tapped presently though.

Who cares! You guys "bring it all back" for a guy that was just a teenager who LOVED to watch you all race. You have no clue how tempted I am to make the 260 mile trek to see the races in Ashtabula this weekend. I just may do that. God knows I want to. I have told so many people how much that I miss this sport.

I remember talking with some of you at the races many years ago. I think the first race I attended was in Pontiac, Michigan back in 75 or 76 I believe. MY dad, brother & I got turned onto the ATV racing circuit via Wes Campbell after we purchased a Dune Cycle from him. He sold Polaris Snowmobiles and Dune Cycles out of shop in Oxford, Michigan. I think he may have also helped to organize some of the races but do not really know for certain.

A remember a few scattered and scarce memories about the machines and the people driving them. One racer was named Wild Bill and I am ashamed that I can't remember more. You guys are frickin amazing! I remember this one crazy machine called "The Streak" penned after the old Ray Stevens song. It was totally stripped down.

Those class C modified machines were INSANE. A couple of the tri sport/dune cycle racers were using modified Kohler snowmobile engines that developed about 44 HP burning a mixture of nitro and goodness knows what else. All I know is that fuel smelled like heaven when it burned.

I sure hope to see some of you this weekend but have to admit it will be a tough one to pull off. Do any of the three wheelers still race?

                Thanks!
                Jeff

                • Welcome Jeff!

You gotta come! There'll be dozens of machines there, I think. I don't know if anyone still races the three wheelers, but who's to say that it won't take off again, too? There was a TriCart on Craigslist a while back that would've fit a Rockwell 440 in it quite well....

Anyway, welcome to the forum. Try to make it this weekend. It's gonna be a great show!

                    • I am a newbie!!
I am trying to research argos and I'm finding it hard to find any prices for new ones. Why aren't there any "msrp" lists available. It seems you can get all sorts of price data on cars etc. but with argos it seems you have to go to a dealer and then find out what kind of prices exist for new vehicles specifically a new Avenger

                            • Hello to 6x6world

My name is Tom,I am located in Ballinger,Texas.I do not have a 6x6,yet.But i am working on it.The target vehicle is a MaxIV,because of wife and 3yr old.I just need the space.Any ways have never been in any of them,so I've had to do the internet/youtube research method of test driving,as far as which is better,I can't tell.I feel the debate over the Argo vs. Max is futile, both are just awsome.I would give either a good home.Thank's for reading my ramblin's
