Larry, The Wet Bike was actually made by Suzuki. It's kind of like a jet ski mixed with a motorcycle. They look pretty cool. The only time I ever saw one go was in some old movie where they were chasing a speed boat down a river with them. It looked like they worked pretty well once you got them going. It seems like there's a cult underground following of them, much like all of us and our AATV's.

The Wet Bike was the early designed jet ski. These were rode like a motorcycle with a front ski attached to forks and handlebars. A outboard Suzuki 50 -60 hp power head coupled to a jet drive above a rear ski provided the propulsion. They are just another very interesting way to travel over water.

                • Hi everyone. I just came into a Skipper. Cant tell what model (the only part of the tag I cant make out.) I am doing a ground up restore, and I found this site with lots of information. I need some solid pictures of the engine cover and seat assembly, because the previous owner butchered it to install a 10 HP honda engine (not sure why...the engine would have fit ) I would also like to know what engine would work well as a replacement. I am thinking a twin briggs but would like some input. I have seen Kevin Houle's pics on the site, but they are indeed small. Kevin, I could use some more of those great pics if you would be kind enough to email them. Thanks for the great site and i hope to keep you all updated on the restore.

Sadly. that whole changing the engine and cutting this so it fits isn't uncommon. I look forward to the progress of it though. Kinda cool to have another skipper owner out there as there pretty rare.

I just wanted to say thank you to the guys at recreative indusrtries. Being a newbie they really went out of their way to get me up and running on a critical weekend. They had the right parts to get my fathers 1972 max2 up and running. Dan and Jay really went above and beyond. After looking around the shop I was really impressed with the inventory as well as the new old stock stuff they have. Thanks again for the excellent customer service.

Hello fellow ATVers. I'm not really an AATV or 6x6 guy, but I have found myself with a couple of SPD Tricarts. I have lurked on this board occasionally and have seen some Tricart discussion, so now that I have undertaken the restoration of one of mine, I figured it's time to sign up. My units are fairly complete, but likely will be looking for some parts and advice.
