Im in Grand rapids and the offer Larry made is good with me also

    • Guys thanks for the hospitality, I'll be up in that area in October next. I always travel through the week though. If I can put something together, it'd be great. I'll let you know

        Hello to all,

My name is Paul and I live in NC. Have been reading many of the post over the last few weeks. I wish I could say that I have been into 6x6 AATV's my whole life. Unfortunately, I have not. I have just recently become interested. It seems like a very unique way to experience the outdoors. I love to build things with my boys. It seems that this would be a great project to restore and update one of the older 6x6's. The question of the day is (what on to build?) they all seem very similar in look but not so sure about operation. Maybe you guys could help me to make that decision. Thanks for the great forum!

Paul, I think if you read on the forums for a while you will see the benefits and shortcomings of the different models. Outside of that, since you are in NC, come join us on one of our rides. Someone always has an extra seat and then you can see first hand the different models and how they work on different terrain. Our next ride is the weekend of Oct. 8 at Busco Beach in Goldsboro, NC. Check the trail ride forum for more details.

            Welcome to the site.

            • Just wanted to post a hello from a newbie!!!!

Thought I would do a quick introduction. My name is Scott I was a Special Operations Helicopter Gunner in the military for 12 years, and as you can imagine have been all over the world. I now reside in Greenville MI, and am driving truck for a company in Zeeland MI. I have always wanted one of these
6x6's since I was a kid. Well who am I kidding I'll be a kid til I'm underground...LOL Anyway don't have tons of cash was trying to trade a fishing boat for a couple different ones I have found and that has been a no go. So since I like to fabricate I figured I would start investigating and found this site on the internet while driving truck a few days ago. I'm going to have allot of fun and hours reading and dreaming on this site getting idea's. I was thinking of using a motorcycle motor but will get into that later as this is a introduction page. Maybe I can get one built up and go riding with some of you some day! Hope to talk with you on the forums!!! Have a great Day!
              Scott

              • Hi Scott,

Welcome to the site and thanks for the intro. If you are patient you can often come across some great deals on craigslist for very little money. Keep looking and I'm sure something will pop up for a project. Also, you may want to post an ad in the wanted section of this site. You never know when someone just down the road from you will have what you are looking for. See you on the forums!

Hi Paul, as Mike said we have a ride coming up at Busco Beach. It would be great if you could make it and see the different style of machines in action. Plus we camp, eat and just pal around. Makes for a great weekend.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

Don't be shy, tell us a little about yourself. Do you own an amphibious atv? If so, what kind. Where do you live, etc?

We look forward to meeting you.

                            • Hi Katie, welcome to the site. Check out the FAQ (located at the top left of the page) and it should help explain what each section of the site is about. Or better yet, you could make your boyfriend show you around. Enjoy your stay and we look forward to seeing you around the forums.
