Hi Ron, welcome to the site. If you will start a new thread in the Argo forum, someone will probably be able to help you locate the VIN. You can also search the argo forum because I believe it has been discussed in the past and that may help you as well.

Hello all, New to the 6x6 thing but I saw a picture of a Max II with big tracks on craigs list and that picture was just to cool (dating myself) so with $3200 and a 5x8 trailer I headed to Duluth yesterday, I know the first thing to do is modify the trailer. I pretty much just cleaned and looked the thing over today and I need some manuals, not that it's very complicated just need specs, maintence and such. I know right now the right front chain tensioner is not working right, it won't stay in place. Well that's enough for now. I can't wait to hit some small lakes and creeks, I know the dog is giving me a big smile, wife not so much, Yet! she like to fish too. Al

Hello, im fmints, but fred will do. I was introduced to the max ii by my best friend cbass about three months ago. Since then it has been all he ever talks about, and most of what i think about. Thanks to cbass, i recently scored my first "93 maxx ii. Its a project that of course is promising. Im really looking forward to getting it all finished ( 18hp motor swap, bent axles, rebuild or replace 2500 winch and holes in hull), so i can roam the back woods of southeast georgia.HUSTLEMANIAC and a HONORARY MEMBER of the

Hi Fred, welcome to the site. The best part about cbass getting you addicted to six wheeling is that you will have someone to ride with once you are finished. With another six wheeler there, you can try any obstacle you want without worrying about getting stuck.

LewisLife should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

Well, Hello everyone,
MY name is Bob. I'm new to the AATV world but not to offroading. I use to race M/C's in my earlier years. I am really looking forward to this new experience. I haven't bought my first unit but negotiating with the owner hope to have it completed over the next couple days. Not sure of the year yet but believe it to be 90 - 93 model ARGO 8X8. Buying it as a project and looking forward to digging into it.
