  • Hi- Just purchased 1997 Max IV w/20 hp kohler.... Day 1, snapped the RR drive chain. Had fun getting it out in middle of snow/slush/muddy yard but learned alot about the machine. This site is very helpful and hopefull I will be up and running for St. Pattys day. Just wanted to say hi. I am always open to advise from you guys and thank you.

    • Hi Steve, welcome to the site. Sorry you had trouble with your machine already but at least it was something simple. Just double check your sprocket alignment to make sure the chain is running true.

I am a new member- and a new Pug owner (2 days ago). I have no idea of the year and model yet and it looks to be a long-term project. I will post a picture but I need to get it running first!
