hi,i have known about the usefullness and uniqueness of the 6x6's from the early 70's.the other day my son came home from paddling and informed me that we had to go look at an atv that his friend's dad was selling.it is a late 60's twin six Jiger, thw wheels are crap, and the engine is missing, but the hydraulics are still there, and the chains are still in place,he has been oiling the chains every month for the last 8-10 years.its still pretty ugly.but it will be an awsome project for the boy and i to restore over the next few months.now we are into the repair and we will need some help and thats where this website and everyones help will be our greatest asset.thanks for letting us join and i will try to post pics as we go.cheere jj
Hi guys & gals, I hope I'm introducing myself in the right
place. Im on my phone so cant see the entire site. I am
Interested in 6x6's but am trying to decide if one of these
a 4x4 fits my needs best. I'll mostly be quiet and read to
Learn all I can. Thanks. David
Hi David, welcome to the site. You did post in the right location. If you can, I would encourage you to try to find someone local to you that owns a 6x6 or 8x8 and go ride or drive theirs. There is a "Local 6x6 World Members" forum here on the site that will help you find someone close to you.
New to the 6x6 atv world. I have rebuilt two farm tractors so far and wanted a new project, and I always thought these atv's were pretty cool. I live near Pittsburgh Pa, without a shortage of hills and valleys. This atv should work pretty well for what i have to work with and ride on. I have bought a max II a few weeks ago in running condition but with a few quirks. Even with the problems it is an adventure so far.
Sounds like you have some fun terrain to run around on! The Max II's are great machines to play around with. Congrats on your new purchase! Hope you get the quirks worked out. Feel free to ask in the Max section if you have any questions.
Welcome AEtractor/fellow "yinzer" where abouts you located? im about 40 mins northeast of ya. and a few other members on here are about same distance from ya.
I have officially caught the 6-wheel-sickness!!

Hello to everyone. I just recently bought a 1985 Argo 6x6. Not sure what model it is due to no stickers or identification other than the vin plate on the dash. I love it!!! Can't believe I didn't get one earlier. I have just been riding it around the neighborhood so far but heading to northern Michigan deer hunting this weekend. I don't know a whole lot about these yet but I do know it has the 18hp kohler magnum and it seems to do pretty good. I am looking forward to talking with everyone.
Hi I live in ne Oklahoma and fixing to go pick up my first 8x8 Argo and can't wait to get it. How many members are in this part of the state looking for a good place to ride?
